So begins the chilling speech of Jormag in the trailer for the new Living World season, as the Elder Dragon yet again has awoke from its slumber, most probably disturbed by the death of Kralkatorrik.

Why I return to Tyria and GW2

TheValliant’s interesting article on parting ways with Guild Wars 2 for now made me consider my own choices in the past months and years. I will be the first to admit I have taken several breaks from Guild Wars 2, but to be honest I actually feel the developer themselves legitimised it in past years more or less stating the casual nature meant you were free to play as you wanted, when you wanted.

Just a Wintersday Wish

Just a few more days till Wintersday! Oh, how much do I love this time of year! My Wintersday tree in Divinity’s Reach is looking all shiny and snowy, my Shoulder Snowflakes refilled with fresh Shiverpeaks snow and some nice Wintersday gifts are sitting in my bank already.

I really like what happened to us last year, a really enjoyable Season 3, the new expansion Path of Fire that took us back to Elona and the Crystal Desert, and the kick-off for the Living Story Season 4 (probably my favorite patch so far in-game).

Northerner Lore: The Crystal Desert

With the conclusion of Living World Season 3 and wrapping up Heart of Thorns, the final story chapter reveals that our player character realises he/she is bound for the Crystal Desert. Up until Episode 5, there had been numerous leaks about the expansion and hypothesis about going there, but we believed it would be because we would somehow deal with Primordus and Jormag and move on to subdue Kralkatorrik.
